Promenade des Anglais is the showpiece of Nice – the most fashionable, palm-lined, tourist promenade bordering the sunny seashore of the turqouise Mediterranean Sea. The Old Town truely deserves the name of the most picturesque district of Nice. Just imagine magnificent Baroque cathedrals, colourful flower market that is held in Cours Saleya lined with charming cafes and souvenir shops or Place Massena, which is the city's most widely recognised square whose beauty deserves its fame. The majestic Fort du Mont Alban, a wonderful Medieval fort located on the top of a hill, will ensure you unfogettable memories as nowhere else will you find such an amazing view on the city, the sea and the Alpes looming in the distance. Also, shopping amteurs will be striken by the great number of luxurious shops in the Cours Saleya.
Few times a year Nice witnesses even more rapid influx of people – all thanks to the exciting cultural events of great popularity.
