The walking time to the Ramblas and the center of Barcelona is around ten minutes. The area itself houses many good restaurants and bars and this area is a little more up market and peaceful than the hustle and bustle of the Ramblas. Also in around 15 minutes you can walk to the area of Monjuic. There are several places of interest here. You have the Royal Palace here with fantastic views of Barcelona. There is also the Fuentes de Magica, which are fountains which display colours in time to a variety of different music with everything from Abba to Beethoven. The Joan Miro museum is also located on the hill behind the Palace, who is considered one of Barcelona’s most famous surrealist Catalan painters. You can also experience the Botanical Gardens this is an ongoing experiment to adapt many plants from different countries to the Mediterranean climate. So this apartment will cater for all you holiday needs.
