For views of Barcelona, you do not get much better than this as your back window overlooks the bizarre statues on the roof terrace of the Pedrera. This is Gaudi’s famous building which is almost like a lunar landscape; the sculptures would not be out of place in an science fiction film. This is incredible since this building was actually constructed in the early 1900’s. You have to enormous balconies which are a prefect suntraps this has a view of the Diagonal which has many beautiful period buildings. As regards to getting around the metro is practically outside and two stops will take you to the center of town and the start of The Ramblas. Also within 20 minutes walk you can be in the hub of Barcelona. If you prefer something more low key there is the area of Gracia around five minutes walk from your door. This locality has a plentitude of restaurants, independent boutiques and ice cream parlors. There is also a Version Original Cinema. If fancy going to check out The Sagrada Familia Gaudi’s unfinished cathedral you can also stroll there an easy pace in around 20 minutes.
